2 April 2026

Dear Swim Family,

Welcome to April and the start of a new season at our swimming school!
As the days grow cooler and routines begin to settle after the busy first term, we remain committed to helping our swimmers build confidence, strength, and a lifelong love for the water.

April brings school holidays, family time, and a change of pace – and while this is an exciting period, it’s also an important time to stay mindful of water safety. Whether your child is swimming at home, on holiday, or attending lessons, consistent safety habits make all the difference.

We look forward to another month of progress, fun, and focused learning in the pool with all our swimmers.

With the upcoming school holidays, we kindly remind all parents and swimmers that constant supervision around water is essential, even for confident swimmers. Please ensure that children are never left unattended near pools, dams, or the ocean, and that pool gates and covers are always securely in place. Swimming is a life skill – but safety always comes first.

Please note that the swimming school will be closed on the following public holidays and designated closure days:

Thursday, 2 April 2026

Friday, 3 April 2026

Monday, 6 April 2026

Monday, 27 April 2026 (Freedom Day)

Friday, 1 May 2026 (Workers’ Day)

Lessons will resume as per the normal schedule on the next operational day after each closure.

Please take note that when we have lightning and/or thunder, we must stop the lessons for everyone’s safety. Our drill is set out in the Contract, so we won’t repeat it again here. We do not cancel a whole session, because sometimes a storm passes over quickly, and we are able to resume after only missing a couple of lessons or so. Other times it can be several hours before we can get back in the water again. We have no way of knowing what the progress will be, but when we resume, we will include those swimmers who have been kept waiting, up until normal closing time for the day. You’re welcome to contact us should you require further clarity.

Thank you for your continued support and for trusting us with your child’s swimming journey. Your involvement and encouragement play a vital role in their progress and safety.

We wish all our families a relaxing and safe holiday period. Should you be travelling or spending time around water, please stay alert, stay safe, and keep practising good water awareness.

We look forward to welcoming our swimmers back refreshed and ready for another great term in the pool.

Warm regards,

Irene and Noreen
