14 April 2020

Dear Parents and Swimmers,

We trust you are keeping healthy and safe during the national lockdown in South Africa.

So, on Thursday the 9th of April 2020 our President extended our national lockdown to the 30th of April 2020.

We want to reconfirm that all missed lessons, due to the national lockdown will be made up throughout the rest of the year. Information regarding this will be communicated to you in the first 2 weeks when we open (after lockdown).

We can assure you that you will be paying for lessons that you will receive. This will ensure that we are able to pay our staff a salary during this time.

As the national lockdown will end on the 30th of April 2020, we will therefore invoice our May invoices on the 1st of May 2020.

There is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools, hot tubs or spas, or water playgrounds. Proper operation, maintenance and disinfection (with cholerine and bromine) of pools, hot tubs or spas, and water playgrounds should inactive the virus that causes COVID-19.

Our health department recommends cloth masks to help contain the spread of the coronavirus. You can make your own mask at home, with or without a sewing machine.

Remember to:

  1. Stay home as much as you can;
  2. Keep a safe distance;
  3. Wash your hands often with soap and water;
  4. Cover your cough;

We want to thank you for your ongoing support during this difficult time! We will get through this together.

Best wishes,

Irene and Noreen
